Lafayette, Father of Paris?

Who Knew how Paris, Tennessee, got its name? It was named after Paris, France, to honor the homeland of Revolutionary War hero Lafayette, whose full name is Marquis de Lafayette, Marie Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier!
